Thread: Canadian source for Bamboo

  1. Default Canadian source for Bamboo

    Hi all

This past spring I made the mistake of getting in a discussion with a few rodbuilders (R.J.Barch and the like) I had been thinking about building a Bamboo rod for a while. During this Fly Fishing forum I picked up a few building books and fortified the "Bug" or is it a disease?

Can anyone advise where in Canada (maybe Ontario) I can order the proper Bamboo? I figure if I order it now I should be ready to start this winter.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thnx
    Dennis

You might try contacting someone like Michel Lajoie who builds bamboo. I have dealt with him for fly tying materials, and he seems to be a good guy.
