TFO has made it into my list of go to companies when Im looking to buy a new rod.

Ive got the Ticr 8 and 9wt. Wonderful rods. They make longer casts almost painfully easy, yet are just as unforgiving if your casting mechanics arent up to par.

For what you get the price cannot be beat. A few years ago these rods would have been selling for the same prices as some of the higher end companies.

I'll be the one voice of dissent. I have a 9' 6 weight (4 piece). The craftsmanship is great, the price was great but I wish I had spent a decent amount of time casting one before I bought it. Since then I bought a St. Croix LU which I tested and I love it. The TFO just doesn't feel good to me. I know a fly shop that will give me 80 bucks for it on a trade in and I intend to that.
