    Default Finishing Rod Wraps

I'm about to build my first rod...I've bought the blank and I'm starting to get the materials together I need to finish it.....

what do you suggest I use on finishing my wraps? I heard epoxy based flex-coat lite to several types of varnishes?

I know a lot is personal preference, but I like some feedback....also, the rod I building is bamboo.

Thanks in advance for your input.

    I think varnish is traditional.
From observing conversations in the chat room I believe "Last n Last" is one of the prefered brands used by at least a couple of makers.

On a cane rod, varnish is the traditional finish. Graphite rods usualy get an epoxy finish.
