The Three Rivers Fly Fishers www.3rff.org had our last club outing of the summer Sunday the 30th at Mottville Michigan on the St. Joe river. Nice stretch of stream from the little park in Mottville. About 18-20 members and guests showed up on this steamy hot day. The fishing was great although lots of small fish in the 9-1 inch range. Still a lot of fun in the current. Biggest fish of the day, at leat up to lunch time, was a couple of reports of 13 inch fish. This is a really good place to take someone who is just starting out fishing as the fish didn't seemto be terribly picky on patterns, with Chicago Leeches, Wolly Buggers, and Clousers along with a few sparrows doing the trick real well.
