Quick N'EZY

Thanks to Al and Gretchen for sharing the instructions for tying the Quick N'EZY.

I have not tied many of those. But, since first discovering your pattern, I have used a technique that I adapted from your method for winging/tailing that patter to tie a split winged tail for a parachute adams. I use a single feather, tied in the horizontal plane, but, except for that, the technique is the same. Thanks for giving me the idea.

I'll second that vote of thanks from J. What a great fly! It's always a treat to find some really new or at least a method that I have never used before. Also, I have a ton of old, Indian capes with REALLY BIG, WIDE feathers on them. I guess I've been subconsciously saving them for Al and Gretchen's fly.

I also sympathize with Al's sacrifice to the river gods. I've never lost a whole box of flies at one time but wind and carelessness have regularly sent small rafts of flies down the stream.

I bet that wing would also make a very good post for parachute hackle.
