Force Fins

Force Fins are advertised as "40 to 60% more efficient than conventional fins".

Since they collapse in one direction wouldn't the thrust be more if they were stiff in that direction.

I recall that in threads here folks have said they have noted less fatigue using them. Are they just easier to use but still give less thrust but enough to be adequate?

I found Force Fins to produce greater thrust and hence mobility with less effort than any other type of fins that I have tried. The shape helps provide greater maneauverabilty also. They only collapse slightly, not completely and you still get thrust on both strokes.

They are also very durable. I have had my pair for 9 years now.

When getting fins for scuba I was told that the more ridgid ones will result in fatigue faster than a more flexible fins.

I've had my adjustable force fins for over 4 years now and won't go back to my old Caddis fins! It help makes float tubing much more pleasurable IMHO.

I have the non-size adjustable FFins and like them a lot...however, if I had it to do over, I'd buy the size adjustable ones (more $$$) so I could wear sneakers/reef runners/flats boots if I wished. The non adjustable ones are pretty hard on the neoprene bootie of waders I think.
