"I've often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before" A.K.Best

Appreciate the pics and your effort.

Excuse my spelling and grammar, I hooked Mondays and Fridays to either fish or hunt.
Have you had a chance to try any of these?

Not really, I've not had the time on the water lately. I've been trying to get out to some lakes very near my home. Still hoping this week will be better for time.
I'll report back on these flies as soon as I get them wet.

Anyone get to try any of these flies yet??

I was finally able to get out and pester the gills with some of the flies, the 3-4 I've tried seemed to work great. I retied some of the patterns, especially the grub (photo # and nailed several bulls with it.
A big ol' bass I got was in love with the fly in photo #1, he measured nearly 12" long. I had no idea it was a bass until he was a foot from the bank, he acted just like a large gill on the retrieve- he zig-zagged right and left, and stayed deep all the way to shore.
The trout are in the lake now, so I'm changing stratagies. I resume the gill tactics whenever the trout are acting fin-icky.
So far I'm really pleased with all the flies.
P.S. I'm thinking that the clouser (photo #4) is gonna go trout fishing with me when it warms a bit next week.

The grub in photo 8 looks interesting. It looks like a rubber band and thread. Any more to it than that?
