Thanks for joining ? I am posting this early since I have been on hurricane restoration work setting micro wave facilities in La. So I most likely will not officially post as closed on Sept.

So far there are 8 swappers including myself ? it is going to be an interesting swap to see different styles of worms, I again those who always wanted to join into a swap but felt their tying skills were not good enough (bet they are a lot better than mine) to join in-

Anyway the swap sign up ends Sept 5 ? please send 12 worms (you will get 12 back even if we end up with less than 12 tyers ? toe tag your worms, provide a self addressed stamped return envelop ?please put your flies in a container (Atloids tin works great)- Flies due Sept 30

How many ways are there to tie a San Juan worm - now's the time to see - a fly swap for anyone to join in- begineers to experts - tie up your favorite San Juan pattern - bead head in the middle - a knot in the middle or somewhere - a strange color but it works. I will be tying a size 10 caddis hook with (get this) shami leather for the worm body with a copper wire segment on the body - limited to the first 12 tiers - sign up ends when we reach 12 or Sept 5. Worms due Sept 30, that way we can fish them during the fall runs - fly swap details will be posted after the sign up period. This is the start of a dropper series that will take place during the late fall and winter months - Mike

I'll play. Mike runs a good swap. Probably will be a basic run -of-the-mill SJW but they work on DH trout in Georgia.

I would like to join the swap. This will be my first one. I would like to tie a peach or maybe orange D-Rib worm. It deviates a little from the traditional San Juan pattern, but it is a worm and it is used on the San Juan River.

    Thanks!
