Default Spinner and Plastic Fly Swap

THIS SWAP IS NOW CLOSED FOR SIGN UPS!!!!!

    Plastics and Spinner Flies Welcome!!!!!!

O.k. here it is for the people that have been talking about the plastics on the warmwater board. A plastics swap for the "ole bucket mouths or bronze backs". 15 tyers with a deadline for flies in the mail by May 1st, 2005. Sign up deadline is going to be April 1st. Rules,,,,,, there are none but it better have some way to attach artificial plastics and be flyrod compatible (YES I WILL ACCEPT GUMMIE MINNOWS). Also please include the plastic that you would use. Like all the other swaps this will be run in a professional manner. If you cant make the deadline or number of flies please give us enough warning so we can give our fingers a break. All flies must be mailed in a SASE package thats crush proof with toe tags with prepaid return postage. Please provide the recipe either toe tag or on the bulletin. You all will be emailed as soon as things fill up or the deadline is closed. This is the 3rd swap that I am hosting(I know its addicting) so questions, concerns or if I forget something you can send me an email. This should be a fun swap!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks,
    Seege

Thanks for biting, Seege! Put me down for a crawdaddy thing. Just throwing it out there because I've never done anything like this before and love the creative exercise. JGW

Like I said Ive only experimented with the plastics a few times. I know there has to be some down right professional plastic flyrodders out there. Thanks for joining White lets see how this thing goes for the sign ups.

Seege, are you limiting it to bass sized flies? My use of plastics is more targeted to bluegill. I call mine a panfish Heretic diver.

Thanks for hosting! I'd like in on this one.

I'm having a hard time deciding between a jigfly and a tubie. I'll go for the jigfly this time and hope that somebody else ties some tubies.

I also thought that there would definately be more people than this jumping at the bit. I even put a spot on the warmwater board too. Oh well we have awhile for the sign up. I will check back in a few days guys.

Maybe if you also allowed some of the swappers to tie spinner flies like the ones that were shown in the thread, we'd get a few more folks (and some really cool flies).

I have never participated in a fly swap so when one says plastics is this a plastic fly or an imitation of a plastic. I would like to contribute the ice chennille bass worm.I tie this on a size 6 for gills and go larger for bass.I could include both. Please advise. Hope I'm not asking to many questions? Thanks.
