our club fished the Muskegon River from Croton Dam down to Thornapple access for 3 days last weekend. Lots of fish caught, especially in the upper stretch from the Dam to Pine st. Access and just a bit below. Most action was on streamers and wets, with nearly all the fish being the standard 10" - 13" stockers and Steelhead smolt. A few Browns were caught and one Rainbow that topped the list at about 19". Hatches came of late evening on the lower stretch of this float, but the fish weren't consistently paying any attention to them. There was a report of a fellow spotting two Steelhead still in the river, although nobody from our party saw them.
