As you know the peacock bass is a tropical fish. When water temperatures dropped to 70 degrees last week, those warm water species in Wahiawa Res. just flat stopped feeding.

It's been hard fishing all week. Only a few fish in the 2 pound range. And they were scattered and not very aggressive. If you missed on the first strike .... forget it. Not the usual 3 or 4 fish fighting over your fly and geting 3 or 4 chances to get a hook up on the school. I can't wait till March and spawning starts.

But then, the best time to go fishing is whenever you can get off work and go... now that I just retired.... there will be more often. LOL

Aloha,
