Fished the Thames river yesterday and there was a good amount of Striper Schoolie action. Mostly during the outgoing tide. Best action was from boats or kayaks. There were people fishing from the docks but they did not seem to catch much. Saw a seal there, and (s)he did well from what I could see.

Drift down from the Norwich ramp where the two rivers meet and troll through the seem. You could go for 3-400 yds then paddle/motor up to the start and repeat. Saw three fly fishermen and about 8 boats in total. All fish were in the 17-18" range. Does well to help with the shack nasties.

Best action was from about 15 - 25 feet down with a slow retrieve.
