Weather was decent (32 and little wind) and the streams in SE Minnesota were calling. Fished the Whitewater for almost 2 hours. Haven't been able to get there since last Feb. Caught a couple (Browns) in a pool only 75 yards from the parking area and then nothing for an hour. Moved to a new (to me) section of the river about 3/4 mile upstream and caught a dozen Rainbows and Browns from 2 little pools - almost as fast as I could get the nymphs in the water. Seemed to like the smaller stuff. #20 zebra midge was the hot one today. Never saw another person while I was out. Too bad there aren't more days like this one......
