well, the flows have finally receded to a normal level. last week they were pushing 550 cfs, and this week they were right at normal...around 140 cfs. the fishing was fantastic, the trout were remarkably cooperative, and the weather was...well...simply beautiful.

baetis and midges coming off from around 10:30am until roughly 12:30pm. dries were working, but i was having much better luck dead-drifting wet flies about and inch or so under the surface. size 16-20 on the basetis, 22-26 on the midges.

boy, it sure is fun watching a 15" brown cruise out after your wet fly...
