this wild trout fishery is fishing at top level already this season. as expected flows were high and the water just slightly off-color, but the mayflies were out and the fish were responding.

opening day (today) netted a couple dozen fish for me and a buddy, with the brutes of the bunch being a a pair of 17-17.5" bows, with the majority of fish being 12-15" browns.

hare's ear nymphs down deep, or various pale colored mayflies; pale brown or pale olive on the surface was doing exceptionally well, given the less than perfect conditions of the water.

this place will only get more active and tougher as the weather warms and the pressure increases.
