    Default local critters

Did some pestering at Kitty's pond this ayem. LM's and BG's. Stuck an extra frog, a floating baitfish (too big, but the handiest one ), and a grasshopper Marv gave us last weekend in the hat. A spool of tippet stuff too.
Took off down the repaired road that the boys were working on last w/e. Easier for Dinah to walk the 1/4 mi to the back of the pond that way.
The BG's were very aggressive toward Marv's hopper. Nice BG's.....8"-9" class fish. The hopper was made of some hard foam stuff and was the poops for connecting with the fish. Trimmed a lot of the butt off and it did better. The LM's kept us switching from the frog to the baitfish. Some would hit each, but the gusto we are accustomed to here was lacking......? PLENTY were observed, but a lot wanted to dance another tune. They all would try to anhialate a small surf-candie, but that was not our desired approach.
Ya know them "quick-dry" pants with the zip-off legs? Well, it got danged hot and they were quite comfortable. Two things were learned today about them pants.
1 - fly boxes WILL float out of several of the pockets when wading. And.....
2 - An old poop with knarly, very-close veined legs will be an old poop with RED knarly, very close veined legs after a half day fishing w/o the legs!
Hope all are having a splendid weekend...

Thanks Lee for both the report...and making me laugh!....I've many times when fishing (Hiking along briary itch weed infested banks) wished I had those very pants Now I think I definitely gotta invest in a few pair !!
