    Default Tails of Wo

    This may a bit off topic but I came across a few pictures today...

    19" 3lbs. Back in the '70s

    Used to catch 'em in a pond once every two weeks or so...

    [url=http://www.silverwalnut.com/images/jeffiebass2.jpg:cd2af]http://www.silverwalnut.com/images/jeffiebass2.jpg[/url:cd2af]

    Nice fat ones too...

    Yup I was smiling there! Until I finally caught one that was 20", never got him to a scale got greedy let him on a stringer and a snapping turtle made lunch of him.

    I asked mom not to take my picture as the tears rolled on down my cheeks. Have never caught a 20" bass since. Seem to be stuck at 19" and 3lbs.

    There were better days later with trout...

    Grubb, have you been out to do any fishing on the warm days lately ?
    There's a story behind those trout in the readers cast archives called "The Creek".

    Best I can remember is that old bamboo rod made it feel like it was extention of the fly line and and not an extention of your arm.
    Very fluid I guess would be the word.
    Think you'll be very happy when you get it.

    How big is the Mossy?
    I havn't been up to the Verona area except in passing through.
