I just moved here and I am looking for a few places to fish and some local info.
I am interested in finding places near the city to carp fish.
I was also wandering when the trout fishing was best on the Gaudalupe, if anyone fished it this time of year, and with what tactics.

I am fairly new to getting to know more than some of the local waters near DFW. I can tell you that I have seen in several places that I think there is a lake down in Austin called Town Lake. There are some other Texas specific message boards that are specific to fly fishing. If you google Texas fly fishing you may find the boards and more specifics.
