Amen Dad.

M and I have seven kids and when they were younger we had a standing 'bribe' to encourage good behavior. With so many we rarely went out to eat but if we did the bribe was that IF anyone out of the blue came up and complemented them on their behavior then a desert treat was in order. The complement had to be about behavior not that they were cute or anything else. We were in Luby's for a Mother's Day dinner and a grandmotherly lady came up and told us how beautiful our children were. I mouthed the words 'that doesn't count' to my oldest two and as she left the woman added, 'and they are so well behaved.' We all laughed as my kids shook their fists like Tiger Woods after an eagle putt and whispered, 'YYESSS!!!' It is amazing how often people will complement good behavior - I guess that is a reflection about how rare it is.

But good job Poppa - you and the Mrs. keep up the good work.
