Gosh Robert, what a timely post! There are brush fires all around this end of Utah, and one had the town about 12 miles away evacuated yesterday.

We constructed a priority list. The rods made the top 5, but not the tying gear.

The two dogs, the fly rods, the beer and the fly tying stuff if time allowed. There's a lot of fly tying stuff to gather and it would take some time. The old lady is pretty quick and would be grabbing the pictures and important documents.

On a similar note, Nick Lyons wrote an article about 30 years ago on an apartment fire that burned his book collection, fishing equipment and fly tying stuff. It was pretty powerful stuff. 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it's a real short camping season.

Robert - I'm out of dogs right now, and I ain't yet married to whatsername, and the gear stays in the Suburban. So I'd grab the 2 Collings guitars, then a painting and a glass sculpture that I love, then some more guitars. The flames can cook the necks and chenille such .... can't remember the last time I tied a Trout fly.

Been there. Sometimes there is no time to grab anything, so personal safety is primary.

Very interesting. I'd grab the fly rods and reels first, then the baitcasting and spinning gear then the guns. If any time were left I'd grab the Dyna King Barracuda. I guess you can tell where my heads at.
