I was bank fishing for gills yesterday in the subdivision pond when I saw two ~2-pounder catfish right under my feet! They were just cruising in and out of their little water hole (all synchronized too). I've never seen a catfish hole before; I guessed they were nesting. I know I shouldn?t fish for nesting fish but their slow movement hypnotized this angler. I tried to entice them w/ some gill flies (nymphs) to no avail. I wonder if they were small flatheads?

Next time, I?ll have a wooly bugger ready.
