I usually take some mud from the edge of the pond and rub it on my hand and then wash my hands. I think it maks the odors I may have on my hands.

You should only go fishing on days that start with "T". Tuesday, Thursday, Taturday, Tunday, Today, Tomorrow...

I never eat before I go fishing--always fish hungry.

Always release the first fish caught. If you plan on keeping a couple of fish to eat and you keep the first, there won't be a second.

Carrying a net will also keep the fish away.

I have a bunch of hats that I wear when I fish, but if things aren't going well I'll switch to my "lucky" hat.
The simpler the outfit, the more skill it takes to manage it, and the more pleasure one gets in his achievements.
