9' 6wt RPL is a good all around rod. A little light for the big or heavy flies, but workable. I'm leaning more and more these days to fiberglass. A Cortland 8 1/2' Leon Chandler designated 6/7wt and fished with a wf6f is really versitile. I think it is easier for the big/heavy flies and open loops, but it is also sweet with light loads. Not so good with sink tips, although I don't like those lines anyway. Anyone else into glass?
