    Dude,
    Doggone-it! We're still 2 1/2 months from the gills hittin' the beds here in Ohio. Keep us posted so us "yanks" can at leat drool! Like Robin, I am really surprized that you have chain pickeral in Florida. I always thought they were only found in our more northern climates.
    As for those salt water bluegills, now those babies.............!! ?? !!

    Dude, outdone by a teeny little fish, huh?

    I'm back in central Texas for a week on family business. Living out of a hotel. Of course I brought my rod. I went to my favorite bluegill hole today but it was completely blown out by a flash flood yesterday. Darn!

    But the wild flowers (mostly bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes, and pinks) made the trip worth while.

    I pulled out quite a number of medium sized gills from a pond in a park within walking distance of the hotel.

    Dixie...no gar, pickerel for sure. We caught a few of them last year...haven't seen a gar in the lake behind the house yet. I'm sure they're in there.
