While my initial comment on a Kayak Fish
In on the Santee Cooper lakes was intended
to be tongue in cheek, perhaps it deserves
more reasoned consideration. If there is
interest in one, it is entirely possible to
make it happen. It could involve a single
participant other than myself or as many as
care to come. There are in fact
several areas providing for free primitive
camping in close proximity to good fishing
here. Access by canoe or kayak is very
practical. Perhaps a show of hands of
interested parties, preferred time frames,
and any other considerations you might have would be prudent at this time. Things like this just happen in the South. Not a lot of planning and forethought required other
than ensuring ample food, adult beverages,
ice and TP is on hand. FYI, a 7 day permit
for non-residents is $11.00 and readily
