Did you tie any new patterns this Year?

Have you got everything tied for this summer?

Have tied many new patterns this winter...isn't that what winter is all about? Haven't really started on the summer stuff yet...gotta see if any of the winter flies work...then I'll tye like a crazed woman!

I've tied many new patterns this year inspired by this board and the swaps I've entered. Especially in foams. Now a Tom Nixon thing. A pike swap and now the plastic swap. I was never much of an inside the box sort of thinker, consequently my lack of success in the bigger corporate conspiracy. This past year with the ideas from FAOL members has been a creative heaven. Thanks to all of you. JGW

yes, the pike swap and the smallmouth swap have been challenging. I enjoy tying soft hackles and nymphs, sometimes by recipe, mostly by my imagination. Tying is peaceful to me and helps me to recuperate from tough times each day.

I've tied a couple of new patterns this year. Mostly for swaps.

One I came up with on my own, the others are minor variations of existing patterns.

I definitely don't have everything I want for the Summer tied up yet!

Tied and ready for summer....who has time? There are fish to be caught...now! I also tend to tie all year long as I need more flies and have been fishing a lot this "winter" since it has been so mild. And then, the White Bass has begun to move up the creeks just asking to be caught.....

I have tried some new patterns this winter. I think that they will be killers.
