The Second Annual The Arts of the Angler Show will be held at the Danbury Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center on November 12 & 13, 2005. This show will feature the crafts and collections of the Angler, supported by fly tying, cane rod building, and collectibles of interest to fly fisherman. In association with The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, a live consignment and collectible auction will be held on Saturday night at 7PM.

Over 60 of America's finest fly tyers and rod builders will be providing non stop presentations and seminars over the weekend, a select group of vendors providing the latest in materials and accessories, and over 30 tables of flyfishing and sporting collectibles.

NEW this year will be Tying with the Tyers. Attendees are welcome to bring their own fly tying tools and join mini classes of their choice and tie specific patterns with Flyfishing University's tying staff, The Vise Squad. Attendees can select the tyer and pattern and for $5 sit and tie; pattern materials will be provided by instructor.

On Sunday, November 13, Patrick Jordan will defend his title as the Fastest fly tyer in the East, at 11:00 AM. Come see the Vise Squad try to strip Patrick of his title. Winner will recieve a prize package from Raymond C. Rumpf and Son, Partridge, and O. Mustad and Sons.


The World of Flyfishing Show V will again take place at the O'Neill Center on the Danbury Western CT State University campus, January 6-8, 2006. Once again, Flyfishing University will feature the finest fly fishing celebrities in the world including: Lefty Kreh, Bob Popovics, Jack Dennis, Keith Fulsher, Fran Verdoliva, Arnie Gidlow, and over 50 others providing non stop demonstrations, clinics, and seminars. Again, the Flyfishing University Vise Squad made up of the top tyers in the world will be on hand to assist in building the better fly.
