    Default Parnelli...

Funny, I was just wondering earlier today and have a few times in the recent past what has become of Mr. Steven H. McGarthwaite. I particularly remember the times we fly fished on the Lochsa and that 'Parnelli' mailed many fly tying CD's to FAOL members.

    Where are ya Parn?

The CCC also was very active in northern Michigan. Lots of long straight rows up there. They also built some really nice log buildings. One of my favorite residences on my home river in MI is an old CCC bunkhouse that someone converted to a home. I have had my eye on it for a while. Would love to buy it as a retirement home if the timing is right.

And I'm sure they wanted the land open for all users.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.

My home in Michigan was located in a stand of CCC pines, 80 to 90 feet tall! Straight and standing proud, as I believe the men that planted them were.
Then it was "Give us jobs", now it's "Give us the money!".

    Default Give us money...

Yes Mr. Hise..just like the GM CEO is reported to have said in so many words, "The results of allowing GM to go bankrupt would be disastrous." Now if that doesn't sound like a request for a handout...also, I don't mean this to be political, I'm just supporting your meaning of 'give us money'. Good post.

    Cheers,
