What a great thread. Everyone is reminding me of all my bone head moves.

One time we were floating on the river. I don't remember is I was rowing or fishing. Anyway we see this fly box floating along. My comment was wonder where that came from? After we fished it out of the river, I figured out it was out of my vest. Da!! I think this was the time I decided floating fly boxes are a good thing.

Oh then there was the time on the Big Horn at the 13 mile take out, my buddy was rowing and trying to get docked in a crowd of boats. I was on the back of the boat. I thought well I will jump out and catch the boat and pull it in so we wouldn't hit other boats. Didn't work, when I jumped out the current took my feet out from under me. I was hanging on to the side of the boat Waders filled up, my buddy was asking what the hell I was doing. This was in February. It was a long cold trip home 4 hours. I also learned that during the winter it is a good thing to back dry clothes.

If everything goes perfect you probably are not having a great time fly fishing.
