there are many yaks that will do what you want. if most of your fishing is in still water like lakes, bays and nearshore, you will what somethin with a defined keel. this will allow you to track straight while padling and drifting. again since manueverability is not a must you can use longer, easier to paddle yaks, so a 14' one is not too long. Sit in or SOT is basically your choice but the SOT would oprobably be better if you want to tow it behind a boat. for a sit in look at an Old town loon 140 or WS pungo for a SOT the WS tarpon is good as is the Old Town preditor.
