I bought this a couple of years ago. In the meantime, 3M Corp; sold the light to Ray Rumpf Company. My fly shop, doesn't handle this light anymore. He can't help me.

I replaced the light bulb--twice--the light still doesn't work. (Yes I know anyone who would have two spare light bulbs is anal about light and magnification, when tying.)

The $140. light has a one year warranty. If you want it repaired, you must send it to McKenzie Light repair. They will charge you---???; sounds like the minimum would be $30. Then you may need a new bulb ($14.)Plus pay for the shipping.

Everyone I talked to was very nice.

I question, paying $70. a year average for a light. (Plus repair and shipping costs.)

I do take it everywhere with me. It travels once a week; 30 to 40 weeks a year. The light and magnification are right on the stem of my vice---it's convenient!

Is this reasonable; or am I getting old and crotchety?
