I'm a Drinking Water Treatment Plant operator for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Moved to Alaska in '03 because the wife's family lives here. I had big hopes of catching monster salmon and pike, but so far all I've been able to do is catch monster grayling. I can't complain too much. The in-laws bought a fish cabin on the Kenai river last summer and the plan is to spend two weeks in Soldotna this July.
Even after 3 yrs here, we are still trying to get on our feet. It seems that everytime we can see some light something drags us right back down. All we can do is trust in the Lord and love our kids. Fishing will come in time. We plan on being here awhile.
