    Wowsa!
That looks like some kinda giant pike....what a HOOT that would be! Top-water after ice-out anyone?
Looks kinda hard to do C&R with the gear shown. Sure would not want to kill it unless I was going to eat it. Are those things good to eat?

Wow, that thing looks like it could be a maneater---um person eater. Any details on the location, method of fishing, tippet size, etc. 8T

Yup, that is an alligator gar. Anybody else find it ironic that that picture was put out by "aim low productions"? Gator gars that big are becoming increasingly rare, and seeing them killed for sport makes me a little sick inside.

I 'spose it's legal, ... but what exactly does one do with a fish like that?? ...

    I hope it as eaten.

sadly Most bow fishers I know ...and they are mostly carp fishers dump their catch in the mountains around here for the bears....Why this is a legal "Sport" I have no clue...It should not be....Sport or legal.
Also Know that Sting Ray's,Eel,certian species of shark...along with carp are all legal pursuits of this past time...
    Wish ya great fishing,Bill

That is deffinatly an aligator gar. A big one at that. Personally I like the zebco type reels that are attached to their bows.
