Ladyfisher is so right!!! I've had a friend send records to a doc at a world renowned Boston Hospital over a month in advance to review before an important consult. The doctor took the first look at them after she sat down across from him. You have to do whatever research on a problem you have and ask informed questions. If you get a Doc with a "God Complex", find one who knows he or she is human and treats your questions with the respect they deserve. Having said that, I thought I was being smart; changing my primary care physican to one with small hands before I turned 40... Trouble is, I always get the docs partner-hands like catcher's mitts- must've put himself though medical school turning wrenches in a shipyard!!!
