I'll confess that I'm jealous of all you younger folks but at my age my sundry activities are indoor in the winter now and more passive. I'm trying to develop a fly tying club from the participants in my beginner'e classes as well as continuing with the usual early spring beginner's sessions. My other big interest is model railroading, as opposed to playing with toy trains. I participate in two clubs primarily as the club curmudgeon. This craft hobby is a great compliment to fly tying in that it involves many different detail oriented skills such as carpentry, machine shop, airbrush painting, artistic model landscaping, electrical control and troubleshooting, making miniature buildings from photos, real railroad operation and history.
