Our dog "Codie", part sheltie, collie, and golden retriever, has this incredible tail fur that is great for clouser type streamers. The hair on the bottom of her tail is 4-6 inches long, kind of a cream color. The top is shorter, but a sandy/golden brown. Lots of shades in between. Looks very alive in the water. I had a lot of success smallie fishing last year on the "Codie Clouser". She runs upstairs every time I get the scissors out now!!
