Default was fishin' on the Beaverkill

and didn't know I headed into the Roscoe Campground pool -- when Coors Light bottles come at my head,

one of them hit my back and when I started yelling at the person to stop throwing them at me, they started cursing & screaming at me to get the "F" off his property --

anyone know who this tall, heavyset, blond hair guy was?

I am curious. Why were there no respones to this posting? It is rare that someone doesn't have something to say about a subject.

I'm curious too. I've been fishing the Roscoe waters for over 20 years, but never in that area. Perhaps you were on private land?

    fliertier,

I was camping at the Roscoe Campgrounds, as were several others from this site, on the date you mentioned. The 'Pool' is public water. The land is owned but I'm not aware of any 'No Trespassing' signs and it was perfectly legal for you to be in the water. I don't know who screamed at you or threw those beer bottles in your direction but they were wrong, maybe a little drunk, and you should have contacted the police.

By the way, I spoke with the owner of the campground about visitors to my site for a big cookout. He had no problem with that or them using the facilities. Leads me to believe the guy who confronted you was not one of the owners.

Thanks. I thought it was public, and I didn't see any signs either.

Guy was a heavyset blond haired man,
irate, red faced and drinking Coors light heavily.

The time was a little after dusk on a Sat. night

    any info is appreciated

Actually, when re-reading your post I realized that you were there on Saturday, May 28 and we were there Saturday, June 4. I have no idea who that drunk could have been.

Fliertier...just curious..on another board you intimated that it was the owner that was throwing bottles at you and that he was belligerent. Now, on this board, you say you don't know who it was. Thats a very strong accusation to make if you arent absolutely sure! So, what's the real story?....Jason

Well, if someone says get off my "f---" property, is that an owner or a renter?

Legally, it indicates an ownership or entitlement to property when they refer it as "mine".

I didn't get an introduction, just a beer bottle at my back,
