Christopher; I have no complaints about fly fishing in New Zealand. BUT!! I have this yen now that I have read your story to fish in Canada. Do you think "The grass is always greener" applies?

Just love fly fishing and "The Dry" is tops with me, but not exclusively so. Jax

    Andy,

Someone please remind me why I want to live here instead of up there!
Ah, maybe that's 'cause our rivers freeze SOLID for 4-5 months per year, they're forecasting 4-6 inches of snow THIS AFTERNOON, we pay 40-50% in income taxes, the roads close 10-15 times per years 'cause of white-outs and blizzards, the mosquitoes stack up and use ATC's to land on your neck ... My home waters have no Bows either

    Jax,

Well, ... the grass might be "greener", but then again, I seem to recall that over in you parts, there aren't any Black Flies, Mosquitoes, nor NoSeeUm's.

Leisure activity mags and Web sites are notorious for making one WANT to travel. I'm just glad that some of those dream destinations include my Home Waters.

Yeah right! Christopher. No Mosquitoes Black flies and nosee ums I wish. I can actually hear all those little greebies clapping when they see me making my way to the water. If they are not tanking up on my vital fluids, they are getting my blood pressure up. A lose lose situation for me. But I'm Tough"G"
Although come to think of it. NO Snakes or Bears. Home is looking more comfortable by the minute. Thanks for the fun. Jax

    Jax,

    Oooops, I stand corrected

I thought the little critters were a Northern Hemisphere pest.

(Maybe they got implanted "down there" same time as the Bows
