[Michigan Trout Guy]

My opinion: You guys are great! As a novice Michigan fly fisher/tier (23 from Grand Rapids) I am grateful to grow up in a time when we have the technology, and people like yourselves to utilize it in order to provide beginners such as myself a near endless supply of invaluable wisdom.

I always love finding good fly fishing/tying sites, and this is definitely one of those. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Hey, Michigan! I highly encourage you to do as I did when I got serious about this sport. Spend a lot of time in the archives --both the articles and the bulletin boards. This site is really huge and has an incredible amount of wisdom. Your learning pace will pick up immensely if you go to the archives instead of just ingesting the stuff that is coming at you in real time. Kind of a key difference between humans and fish!

Welcome to THE only web site worth belonging to!! Bunch of great people here and a world of knowledge. Take the other advise and search the archives. Lots of good stuff there. Also be warned there is one guy on here that calls himself the "ohiotuber" and he can be a problem. We put up with him to keep him happy."G" Welcome aboard and enjoy.

Aw c'mon Jack!...you musta lived in Northwest Ohio...flat as a pancake & all the ponds are rectangular & shallow with no trees around 'em, & all the turns in the roads are 90 degrees! You need to visit the REST of our fine state.
I will say that, given the fine fishing in Michigan, it almost seems to be kept secret. That always surprised me.
