    Default TFO Series 1 review

Last week I purchased a TFO Series 1 fly rod in 4 weight 8' 6" and overlined it with WF5F fly line. I like the feel of the rod with 5 weight line better than the 4 weight line. I used it this past Saturday and caught 28 rainbow and several bluegill on an all day fishing trip with one of my past fly tying students. TFO is a sponsor on FAOL and they have, in my own opinion, a great fly rod at a very good price. I really enjoyed using this rod. I put a Cortland Vista click pawl reel on it and the whole outfit is very light in hand and casts beautifully. All fish were caught using nymphs dead drifted close to the bottom. The water temperature was 56 degrees. I am not employed by TFO but I highly recommend this rod for someone who wants a good quality rod at a great price. I look forward to my next adventure with this rod. My 2 cents worth only.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

I purchased my TFO 4wt.8'6" about 6 weeks ago.I think it is about the best rod I have. Two friends and I made a trip to P.K. tailrace. Both were big St.Croix fans. After casting this rod they stopped telling me I made the wrong choice. I have made 7 trips back to P.K. and only take one of my other rods for backup. I think we have made the right buy.

Gleason, Temple Forks Outfitters of Texas is TFO. Lefty Kreh recently became involved in the design of their rods. They're great rods for the budget-minded like myself!

I have a TFO 6 wgt spey rod that is top notch. I haven't had the opportunity to cast their heavier weght two handers, but they are high on my list of rods to try. If they cast like this little 6wgt, they will be a great addition to my growing two hander arsenal.

Have the 3 wt. Dependable, casts nicely, forgiving - feels like it will last forever. GOod choice for the money.

Gleason, it looks like you haven't found our
Sponsor page. You are missing out of some very fine companies. [url=http://flyanglersonline.com/about/companies.html:b8a25]http://flyanglersonline.com/about/companies.html[/url:b8a25]
