Type Two Blues

Going in to see Doc today to see if I'm moving along the right track. After reading the posts here about the (to me) huge amounts of weight lost, I'm convinced that losing weight is possible if one wants to bad enough. I've now lost 20 pounds (piddleing little amount in comparison), the fasting BS is constantly 100 or less, the BP runs in the 120's / high 70's, and my knees held up to a week's worth of skiing.

Let's see what the Medico sez today. Wish me luck.

Doc said, "I don't need to see your smiling face for three months m'boy, you're doing exactly what is needed. Your numbers are great". Music to my ears. 15 more pounds to lose and then a vist to the tailor to hitch up my briches (or to the haberdashery to replace those old balloons) and I'm all set. Maybe then I can have the occasional glass of wine with my dinner.

How 'bout the rest of you guys who haven't seen your belt buckle for a while...have you had your blood tested yet? Better do!
