Thanks for the reponses!
Andy..That song sends chills down my spine & puts a tear in my eye EVERY time I hear it sung as written.
Leo..I remember the "baby killer" remarks as well. As you know, most of us are NOT as portrayed in some movies(which I refuse to watch!)
Dude..Thanks!..Patriotism IS the key word.
That commercial was great, wasn't it?

FAOL..All about caring, sharing, & good friends!!
It sure makes a difference when the Anthem gets sung with the intensity it had when sung on Sunday. The trumpets added a touch that will be missed .. at least by me .. when I hear the Anthem in the future without it. And like Silvertop said.. the thought of any those cadets being in harms way before to long is all to real. I was watching the Army-Navy football game earlier this year... a tradition started by my dad years ago. (He is ex-Navy..WWII and I am ex-Air Force Viet Nam era.) They showed a few pictures of cadets who played in the 2003 game who had recently been killed in Iraq. It makes you realize the game is just a game, but conflict isn't.
