'Tis true, I have identified a scam, self-proclaimed at that!
Okay, I want a new 18' Hewes Redfisher flats skiff; price $33,000! (very nice skiff, and would proudly be kept in the garage to replace my former Hewes).
Here's the scam...
There are over 6000 members on this board, give or take a few. If each one of you send me a cashiers check for a mere five bucks (Canadian money accepted) that would get me around 30K. I would be more than willing to chip in the other 3 grand to pay the balance!
I could then sell my skiff that I'm rigging for 4K, and that would net me a profit of a grand, thus paying for the first two years of insurance, gas, etc!
So, who will be the first to send me a check...that's cheaper than two boxes of Girl Scout cookies?????????????????
