    Default Hey Micro

Might have a chance to hit the Narrow on Sunday. I assume there are a fair bit of baby bunker coming out of the Pettaquamscut and the Narrow.

Any other flies that you hear of that are working at the moment? I'll probably also try a Ray's or two and maybe a short black eel pattern.

Did get the cance to fish. There were a fair number of bunker and sand lances present but no fish to speak of. Did see a few fluke landed but no other action. With the fam so I couldn't get out to the mouth.

All in all still a good day in a beautiful spot.

Sorry about the delayed reply I left 8/19 for the family summer vacation at our camp in Maine for fiesty smallies and didn't get back until yesterday. I last fished the river the 18th and the bass were nailing bunker but too much bait and not enough bass can drive you bananas. I managed 2 fish. I tied up a few 1" bunker flies last night and picked myself up a sinking line to try and make an attempt tonight.

Sorry I couldn't be much help for last weekend.

The good news is that the fishing should start picking up soon but the bad news is that all the bikini's will be slowing down.

    No sweat Micro.

When I was there the baitfish were in the 3-4" range for the most part.

I was using a dropper and knew I had the right fly on b/c the rest of the bait would school around my fly as I stripped it in. Just no fish to take the bait.

I didn't see a single bass in the river last night. Usually you can see them coming in even if they don't bite. At least I christened my new sinking line with a nice flat fish and a tasty meal. First flat on the fly so I was pretty excited
