I don't know shore spots near there, but we were passing by the Bishop and Clerk's ledge this past sunday, and there were atlantic bonito (Sarda Sarda) busting all over. A small skiff and a fly or casting rod is very likley to get you a couple or more.

Just a bit further east are the Monomoy flats, one of the prime striper sight-fishing destinations in the country. It should be a 1/2 hr ride to the Ryders' Cove ferry, which will take you over to the islands. Try it for at least a day.
