    Default Northern Pirate Ventures South

Just got back from a day with Ed (FloridaFlyer). Had a great time seeing some of Florida's fishing haunts. Aside from multiple Otters and Manatee we saw lots of other kinds of fish that Northern Pirates do not know personally. Thank you Ed for a nice day. Gary, too bad you could not make it. Let me know when your pool is done and I'll send you some Gold Fish. We had fun.

Dmicus, you should know that Ed is trying to copy you with the same hair style. I hope it is not contagious.

I invited Ed to come north to see what trout and Stripers are all about. I told him he could stay at your house. We'll make that party central. Dave, you can bring the beer and food. Ed and I will bring the personalities humor and wit. Oh and don't worry about bait. Ed and I will bring any bait we need to fly fish and you can provide the flies. Now isn't that a deal.

Jed, it was great meeting you and spending the day fishing. You are always welcome in my home.

I surely thought about you guys. Did y'all catch anything?

Unfortunately not. It turned out to be a beautiful day, just not for fishing. We went to three different spots, but fish where nowhere to be found. It's a shame really. I was hoping to get Jed into some snook.

Ed, I would have bet my VFR would have worn off by now. You didn't put any of the flies I used back in you regular box did you?

What are you talking about Swen. You caught a snook while you where here. And if I recall correctly, you took that lucky fly with you.

Thanks Ed, I'll be moving in next week. I'll take the front bedroom

It was fun, and the fishing was great. The catching was less so. Next time Gary, we'll have you along and hopefully we'll catch more. Regardless of the catching I had a great day. We met this young man (5 years old) fishing on a jetty with his grandpa using a snoopy rod with bait and bobber. He landed a BIG 6" fish. The grin on his face was enough to make the day worthwhile. I think that the fish hooked a fisherman that time, and no we did not try and get him to do flyfishing
