    Default Trolling Motor

I am looking for recommendations for a Trolling Motor.

I have a 13' double-ender canoe that I use in both fresh and saltwater. I am looking for a good trolling motor to add to it. Any recommendations.

    Thanks.

    Hey PG,

In recent years I've been a big fan of
the Minn Kota Endura series trolling motors.
They have held up well for me and have in my
opinion created more motion from that heavy
battery than any other I've tried. I've
used the standard motors in the salt with a
freshwater washdown afterwards with no ill
    effects. Warm regards, Jim

Riptides are the saltwater favorite, but would have to look at a catalog to see if there's a MinnKota small enough one for a canoe; around 28 lbs. of thrust would be more than sufficient on the 10 pounds of thrust for 200 pounds of boat rule of thumb.
