I'll be interested in hearing how they work out for you. I tied up a dozen size 12 and a dozen size 16 to send to my Dad. His buddy wants more of them since the one I already gave him has been destroyed by the fish. I figure this way, they can have 1/2 dozen of each size.

The "pheasant tail midge" is really just a standard unweighted pheasant tail nymph, tied on a grub style hook, so it's hard to really call it something different. Especially since one can tie these on normal straight hooks as well. Just tie "around the bend" a bit to give a curled look to them.
