I'm hoping someone here can assist - Mayfly identification.

You see, we were not anywhere near doing anything flyfishing related, but my 10 yr old goes 'Hey dad, what's this?' ........

A' mayfly spinner, and about 3/8 to 1/2 inch in length' - is about all I could note. As for speices or common name, I didn't know. So I took a bunch of pics (as best I could) to find out (lively litlle critter). I think I have it narrowed down to Ephemerella dorothea or Ephemerella invaria. I'm leaning towards Ephemerella invaria (light Hendrickson) .......... for now ...........

Sorry - this is the only pic that came out clear enough for any sort of ident. No, it had no tails on it either.

Anyone ....

P.S. - we were having a boys day at the zoo (and yes, I was eyeing up the peacocks)
