Default Big News for Fly Tiers

I hope you hear it here first.
Ronn Lucas Sr. has purchased Ron Reinhold's Custom Hook business. He has been in Michigan this week learning the ropes, and leaves there for home the 20th. The equipment will be shipped to Ronn's home in Oregon and he has plans for new hooks as well. Congratulations Ronn!

    This is big news.

Ron's hooks were the best hand made hooks available. Ron had produced the classic shapes perfectly and nobody else could touch him. His hooks were known internationally!

Ronn is a detailed perfectionist, who will carry on the tradition... what a shame if these hooks had been lost.

Ronn, I hope you have a bottle of bubbly to break on the launch of this venture. congrats!

For any of you fortunate enough to own one of Ronn Lucas' burnishing tools, made from a dental tool no less, you'll know that the business is in good hands. I can't think of anyone who could do a better job with this than Ronn, and it's great that these hooks will continue to be made by a master.
